Full Stack Developer

ULU is a leading mobility and telematics provider based in the Netherlands; offering it’s services across Europe to the B2B and B2C market. The company’s ethos is to continuously develop innovative new features and functions for our vehicle telematics platform; whilst continuing to expand upon our comprehensive hardware line-up. As one of the few telematics companies that develop and manufacture their own hardware and software, ULU has complete control over the product from A-Z.

ULU is one of Europe’s fastest growing telematics companies. We provide enterprise level automotive data solutions to various leading fleet management service providers powered by the ULU platform.

Having recently secured supply contracts with several major companies in Europe (including the largest insurance provider in the Netherlands) ULU is looking to scale up massively in 2023 and needs competent, enthusiastic developers to help support the technology infrastructure.

Who are we looking for?

ULU needs somebody who will take strong ownership of the entire technology stack; utilizing their knowledge and expertise to improve, manage and make iterations over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Work independently or with other engineers to develop for existing systems
• Assist in scoping, estimating, and planning of projects
• Participate in code review, pairing, and other forms of knowledge sharing
• Assisting support with providing answers to technical questions

Must Have Skills (professional experience)

• Experience with Ruby (Ruby on Rails framework)
• Knowledge of modern web technologies, with a focus on JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
• Good knowledge of server-side
• Experience with relational databases (we are using Postgres).
• Experience using Git version
• Fluent written and spoken English - you will be using it every

• A continuous learner and a critical
• Able to work and communicate well in a team; be a team player!

Extra Points

 Experience with frontend frameworks (React, js, angular, ...)

• Experience with js and Bootstrap
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with writing unit tests, monitoring code coverage, and linting your code
• Knowledge of Heroku / Docker workflow to develop quick
• Familiar with support tickets and project tracking systems (Trello).
• Good general programming knowledge and understanding of modern software development processes.
